Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his maiden title for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has had a torrid season, winning just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents his initial title after the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt since that period of that year.
The win also means Medvedev has achieved 21 championships at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, including in Halle previously this season.
His counter-punching play style and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had led some to doubt if his ability to perform at the highest level was concluded.
However the athlete has made changes in the past month, striving to come to the net and play positively, supported by an improved service.
The champion fought back from a break down in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, taking 4 of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players exchanged break points in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his initial tour championship, gained dominance to push for a third set.
Moutet defended 4 initial break points in a tight third set before the Russian won the break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, he secured the win with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to control a return after a lengthy match.
